Stacy Dillard, a powerhouse saxophonist known for his commanding tone and fearless
improvisation, brings a compelling edge to Trampleman’s dynamic sound. A veteran of the New
York jazz scene, Dillard has performed with legends including Roy Hargrove, Terell Stafford,
Russell Malone, Eric Reed, Stefon Harris, and Stevie Wonder. His presence adds intensity,
lyricism, and spontaneity to Trampleman’s ever-evolving performances.

Trampleman—bassist Sam Trapchak, pianist Broc Hempel, and drummer Christian
Coleman—has been a mainstay of the Queens jazz scene for over a decade, performing
together more than a thousand times. Their sound is rooted in deep interplay and risk-taking,
blending original compositions, Brazilian classics, pop covers, free improvisation, and jazz
standards. The group has shared the stage with Donny McCaslin, Dave Binney, Rich Perry,
Loren Stillman, and Jeremy Pelt. With Dillard, Trampleman delivers a live experience that is
fiery, playful, and full of creative momentum.
