North Omaha Music & Arts (NOMA), a creative arts academy for the youth of our community, is proud to present its second annual NOMAFEST – a music festival and series of concerts Thursday, July 27, through Sunday, July 30, 2023, taking place at the NOMA building at 24th and Lake streets. This year’s event features several accomplished artists over four consecutive days, as they join the NOMA mission in energizing the community and honoring its rich, musical history.   

The Richie Love Show and The Love Connection Band will be performing Thursday, July 27, at 8 p.m. Richie was inducted into the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame in 2021. The Love Connection Band has been headlining jazz and blues fests for over 25 years. Special guest Jeannie Holliday, Queen of Blues, will also be performing. Thursday’s performances are free and presented by Native Omahans Club, Inc.   

Singer Aya Ito will be performing Friday, July 28, at 8 p.m. With influences like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, H.E.R., Frank Ocean and Whitney Houston, Aya’s dynamic sound resonates with everyone. Dana Murray and the NOMA Ensemble will be joining her on stage.  

Ron E Beck, master of funk, performs on Saturday, July 29, at 7 p.m. An Omaha native, Beck is an accomplished drummer and singer praised by the likes of Carlos Santana and Tom Bell. The NOMA Ensemble with Dana Murray will be joining Beck onstage. After the concert, VIP ticket holders will have access to the exclusive watch party of the Spence Jr./Crawford fight telecast.  

DJ ReRe from Miami is headlining a daytime party on Sunday, July 30, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., presented by Native Omahans Club, Inc. Self-proclaimed hype girl, DJ ReRe is on a mission to spread positivity and passion and will close out NOMAFEST with her infectious beats.  

Dana Murray, executive director of NOMA, shares, “Music is a great unifier of people. NOMAFEST represents a spirit of fellowship in which we can share our vision and mission with the North Omaha community as well as the entire city. We are building on the success of last year’s event and are excited to extend this year’s event over several days, providing more opportunities to join in the excitement and hear from world-class music talents.”
